About Silicon MENA
A curated professional network for the people and companies building technology across the Middle East and North Africa.
Why we built it
Talent in the region is everywhere. Trust is not evenly distributed. The founders, engineers, operators and investors building MENA’s tech ecosystem often depend on who they know to be discovered — and the strongest signal about someone’s work lives in the heads of the people who have worked with them.
Silicon MENA makes that signal visible. Members cosign people and companies they believe in: short, specific, attributable endorsements that explain why. Over time, profiles become a living record of what someone is known for, written by the people best placed to judge.
What you can do here
- Discover people and companies from Riyadh to Casablanca, backed by cosigns rather than self-written bios.
- Cosign the people and companies you believe in — especially before everyone else does.
- Send private signals — would meet, would hire, would fund — that only the recipient sees.
- Curate lists and answer community rankings to surface who is really moving the region forward.
- Follow Ecosystem Watch for funding rounds, launches and hires, and find your next role on the jobs board.
Our principles
- Attributable. Every cosign carries the name and reputation of the person who wrote it.
- Specific beats generic. We favor concrete examples over adjectives.
- Private where it matters. Signals are visible only to the person you send them to.
- Curated. Membership is reviewed to keep the network high-signal and free of spam.
- Regional by design. Built for the whole of MENA — the Gulf, the Levant, Egypt and North Africa — and for the diaspora.
